Concrete Services

Saribalis Construction also offers concrete services for contractors and homeowners. We can pump, place and form concrete for foundations, patios, retaining walls, piers and driveways. Our equipment will take the concrete from the mixing truck to the desired placement location.

We also specialize in a method of concrete pumping for retaining walls using compressed air to project the concrete directly onto the retaining wall. This method can cover more area in a shorter period of time reducing costs. It is highly effective for large-scale retaining wall projects.

Saribalis Construction has the equipment and expertise to tackle any concrete project.

Foundations & Drainage

With the constant movement of the earths surface and the possibility of landslides or earthquakes it is common that homes will settle causing damage to the structural integrity of a particular building. The most common type of settling occurs when soil dampens due to rain, defective drainage and small landslides.

Saribalis Construction uses a variety of methods to counteract these forces and defend against future damage. One of the most cost effective solutions to settling is the installation of hydraulic pipe piles. Using a hydraulic press, we install steel resistant piers down to bedrock depths or until the pipe pile reaches the pier-encountered firm-bearing stratum that is suitable to support the load. These piers are attached with a steel bracket to the bottom and side of the foundation securing the load bearing in place. Saribalis Construction specializes in the installation of pipe piles at cost effective for the homeowner.

If we determine that settling has occurred due to downspouts, French drains or other drainage related issues, we will identify the specific defective area and replace the drainage material. Saribalis Construction can also install all new drainage systems to ensure future damage does not occur.

Retaining Walls

Structures that are built on hillsides often use retaining walls to protect the movement of a hillside from damaging a home. In order to ensure that the retaining walls are fail safe, rock bolts are drilled into the face of the cut earth to strengthen the integrity of the wall.

Saribalis Construction uses multiple tie-back drilling methods and equipment to install rock bolts. For large retaining walls that require a large amount of rock bolts, we use an Air-Track drifter drill that can bore consecutive holes quickly and at substantial depths. This drill runs exclusively on compressed air. We then tie our rock bolts into rebar cages and pour the concrete to form the structure of the wall.

For smaller, tighter access requirements, Saribalis Construction uses a hydraulic powered rock drill with a portable power pack. This top of the line drill allows us to drill holes inside basements, under staircases and in small back yards. We can bore holes strait down or at acute angles. These holes can be tied in using metal I-beams with wooden lagging to form the wall to reduce costs or through traditional concrete methods.

Tight Access Drilling

Many foundation problems occur in small, hard to reach areas, which can limit the type of equipment necessary to repair the structural deficiency. At Saribalis Construction, we use tight access drilling equipment that can fit through entryways as small as 3ft wide by 7 ft. high. If we determine that a problem exists in a unique area of a home, we can customize our equipment to access that area without causing any additional damage.

Our portable drilling equipment can drill pier holes up to 50ft deep and 3ft wide. Once the hole is bored we place the necessary pier materials and concrete specified by the engineer. The most common uses for our portable drilling expertise include; decks, foundations and home additions.

Our tieback drilling equipment is track mounted and can drill holes for retaining walls at angles of 15 to 25 degrees, depths of 50ft and widths of 1 inch to 8 inches. We then place the rock bolts with centralizing couplers to ensure the grout surrounds the rock bolt and fills any fractured rock inside the hole.
